Pricing & plans
Will the AI flatten my voice?
Not if you use Refine Mode. Refine Mode lets you paste your own draft, lock every line you want to keep, set a preservation level (60–100%), and only let the writing room rework what you choose. The before/after comparison shows exactly what moved and why. Most creators on paid plans use refine, not fresh forge — because the point is YOUR song, stronger.
Is my lyric data used to train AI models?
No. Your lyrics are not added to any training corpus. We send them to Anthropic’s Claude API under our commercial agreement (which explicitly excludes training use) and store them in your private account. You can delete any song from your dashboard; that removes it from our servers. Full detail lives in the Privacy policy.
Do I own the lyrics — and can I use them in a co-write?
Yes to both. You retain full rights to every lyric created or refined with SongForgeAI. Record, release, license, sync to film, bring into any co-write session. No royalty split, no co-writer credit to us, no attribution requirement. The Terms of Service spell this out in §4.
Is there a free tier?
Yes — and it never expires. 5 songs per month, full 10-stage forge pipeline, no credit card. The free tier IS the trial.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
30 days. Email support@songforgeai.com within 30 days of the charge — full refund processed within 48 hours. No survey, no retention call, no forms.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the billing cycle. Cancel in one click from Account & Billing — no retention calls, no downgrade gauntlet. Access continues through the end of the paid period.
Product & approach
Does this include music generation?
Not yet. You get finished lyrics plus a Suno-ready style prompt to use in Suno, Udio, or another music-generation tool.
What are credit top-ups?
Credit packs let you buy extra songs without committing to a plan. Starts at 5 songs for $19 (no subscription). Packs never expire and stack on top of any monthly allowance you already have.
Why upgrade?
Every song — free or paid — runs the full 10-stage forge pipeline. Free gives you 5 songs/month, enough to prove the quality. Creator ($29/mo) adds volume: 10 songs/month, batch mode up to 5, and email support. Professional ($69/mo) unlocks the full toolkit: 25 songs/month, batch processing (10 at once), SuperBoost (iterates targeting 90+ scores), full Song Surgery — every flagged wound becomes a per-line repair item with per-issue Accept/Edit/Reject/Skip + Final Vitals scoreboard, and priority support.
When should I move from Creator to Pro?
Three triggers, any one of which means Pro pays for itself: (1) you regularly hit 10 songs/month and need more — Pro’s 25 is the cap. (2) you’re running batches of 6+ at a time — Pro’s batch ceiling doubles from 5 to 10. (3) you’re iterating to chase 90+ scores on the same song — SuperBoost (Pro-only) re-runs the forge up to 5 times targeting the weakest metrics from each pass, and full Song Surgery (Pro-only) treats every flagged wound as a per-line repair item with per-issue consent + Final Vitals scoreboard. Most Creator users who upgrade cite #3.
How is this different from just asking ChatGPT for lyrics?
A general LLM gives you one draft from one model. SongForgeAI runs a multi-voice writing room (different prompted personas argue), scores every line against the 12-metric rubric (published openly at /scoring/standard), strips known AI cliches (87 banned terms scanned and removed), and runs a refinement pass on the weakest lines. The output is auditable — you can see exactly why each line scored what it scored. If you ask ChatGPT for the same song you’ll get fluent text. Whether it survives a real listener is a different question.
If I ask for five songs from one idea, do I get five songs about the idea?
Yes. We call this Topic Sovereignty: your idea is sovereign at the SUBJECT layer and the system varies the TREATMENT. Suno, Udio, and ChatGPT quietly mutate the subject when you ask for variations — five takes on "my dog Charlie" returns one Charlie song plus four about other things. We preserve the idea verbatim across every song in the batch and rotate seven orthogonal axes (genre, mood, narrative stance, voltage, song structure, style register, energy band) to produce the variety. Full architecture at /principles/topic-sovereignty.
Still have a question?
The 12-metric scoring rubric is published openly at /scoring/standard, the public commitment log is at /sacred-accidents, and every prior incident is at /incidents. If none of those answer it, email support@songforgeai.com — a real human reads everything.
