Who’s behind SongForgeAI.
One person, a rubric, and a writing room of ghosts.
I built SongForgeAI because every AI lyric tool I tried gave me output that felt like a search result, not a song. The pitch was "write lyrics faster" — but the drafts they generated needed more editing than starting from scratch.
So I reverse-engineered the craft. I read Pattison on prosody, Stolpe on destination writing, Berklee's curriculum, interviews with Isbell and Cohen and Isbell again, and I turned what they said into a 50-voice panel that competes over every line. Then I built a 12-metric scoring rubric that says — out loud — what "good" means, so the panel can't hide behind vibes.
SongForgeAI is that rubric, that panel, and everything that had to exist around them: the anti-cliché scanner, the singability linter, the emotional-arc analyzer, the public telemetry that lets anyone audit the engine's output over time. It's open about what it does because nobody else in the category is.
I'm a solo engineer in the United States. I ship builds on most days. You can reach me directly at the email below — this is not a support alias routed to a team.

The category we’re claiming
Lyric Scoring. The 12-metric rubric, published openly at /scoring/standard. Anyone can score their own lyrics against it. Every song we forge is scored against it. Every result is telemetered and publicly aggregated.
No competitor publishes their rubric. Most don’t have one. The bet: over time, “does this score well on the SongForgeAI rubric?” becomes a useful signal even for songs written without SongForgeAI.
